Funeral services for Mr. Robert M. Radford will be private and under the direction of George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. Mr. Radford, 85, of Aiken, died Wednesday at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Mr. Radford, a native of Baltimore, MD graduated from the Johns Hopkins University. He served in the Navy during World War II and later in the Naval Reserve from which he retired with the rank of Captain. He came to Aiken in 1952 as a chemist with the E. I. duPont Company and retired as a department superintendent at the Savannah River Plant in 1980. Mr. Radford is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marjorie Coulson Radford, Aiken; a son Michael Joan Radford, Columbia, SC and a daughter, Sandra Barry Harrelson, Washington, DC. He is also survived by two grandchildren.
