On Christmas Eve, Irene Mundy Pace, died in Charleston, SC, at Roper Hospital. She was the daughter of Luther and Annie Mundy of Windsor, SC.
Irene Pace was born on September 28, 1915, in Windsor, SC. She was one of four daughters born on her parent?s farm. Mrs. Pace attended school at Windsor School.
She is the widow of the late William Preston Pace. She is survived by her daughter, Norma Pace, Fairfax, VA, and son, William Preston Pace, Jr., Rusty, Charleston, SC; three sisters, Cleo Hatcher, Windsor, SC, Claudia Ryan, Charleston, SC, and Lillian Rhoney, Jacksonville, FL; two granddaughters, Kathleen Shankle, Centreville, VA, and Allison Stancliff, Bealeton, VA; five great-granddaughters, Megan Shankle, Emma Shankle and Hayley Shankle of Centreville, VA and Rachel Stancliff and Alexis Stancliff of Bealeton, VA; Other surviving family members include: Ted Hatcher, Atlanta, GA, Sophie Hatcher and Roxanne Farkas, Windsor, SC; Mary Kay Dunbar and John Dunbar, Salley, SC, and Wallace Dunbar, Boston, MA; Gerald Hatcher, Jerry Hatcher, Montmorenci, SC, and Debra Plunckett, North Augusta, GA.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at 2:15 PM at The First Baptist Church of Windsor with Rev. Ron Shearer officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 27, 2005 from 12:30 PM until the time of service at the church.

A reception will be held immediately following services for family and friends at the Fellowship Hall next to The First Baptist Church of Windsor to celebrate Irene Pace?s life.
