Funeral Services for Genilla Jill Starns Weitzel will take place on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 11:00am, at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken, with Rev. Chris Masters officiating. Pallbearers will be Randy Ingram, James Ingram, Clint Lenard, Joey Clayton, Larry Stover and Allan Fuller. Honorary pallbearers will be C B Lenard, Austin Richards and Audrey Doyle. Interment will follow at Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, 6-8pm. Mrs. Weitzel, 79, of Aiken, died Monday, May 25, 2009, at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika, AL. A daughter of the late James Woodsen Starns and Adie Mrytle Taunton Starns, was born January 31, 1930 in Elmore County, Alabama. She was a graduate from Tallassee High School in 1947 and retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglass in 1988. A native of Tallassee, Alabama, she moved to Aiken in 1967. She was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Curt Weitzel and a son, Morris Dewey Fuller, Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sheila Fuller Clayton Dale of Dadeville, AL., and Mrs. Kimberly Fuller Chavis Jesse of Nashville, TN ; one son, Rodger Fuller of Aiken, SC, 5 grandchildren - Janna Stover, Joey Clayton, Kristen Baughman, Tonya Wizorek and Allan Fuller, and 5 great grandchildren - Austin Richards, Liana and Thomas Clayton, and Kamryn and Adam Wizorek.
