AIKEN, SC- BLONDELL (DELL) LETTS, 88, beloved wife of Arthur Letts, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday, December 5, 2014. Born February 8, 1926 in Rector, Arkansas, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Grace Sigsby Ellison. Dell had spent a career as a REALTOR© (Dell Keil Realty) in Windsor and Burlington, Ontario prior to relocating to Barrington, Illinois. Dell is survived by her husband of 31 years, Arthur Letts, of Aiken, SC; two daughters, Gloria Floden, Lansing, MI and Deborah (Sky) Lusko, Albuquerque, NM; a step-daughter, Heather Hecnar, Windsor, Ontario; a step-son, Gilbert Letts, Luperon, Dominican Republic; and a brother, Ralph Ellison, Hot Springs, AR; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. In addition to her parents, Dell was predeceased by a step-son, Alan Letts and a sister, Marcel McCluny. Throughout her life, Dell always enjoyed competing in sports and card games. These included golf, skiing (on her 70th birthday), bowling, curling, and bocce; as well as bridge and hand & foot. She particularly enjoyed teaching the great grandchildren how to play cards. A memorial service will be held January 10, 2015 at 11 AM in the George Funeral Chapel. Her grandson, Levi Lusko will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the Green Boundary Club, 780 Whiskey Road, Aiken, SC 29801. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association in her memory.
