Vaucluse

Funeral services for Malcolm Lee Laborde, 73, of Vaucluse, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Chapel of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME.  Officiating will be Pastor Ray Popham, burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.  Pallbearers will be Michael and Ryan Hutson, Cameron and Chase Laborde, Tracey Wood and James Ennis.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Cayden and Cordel Laborde.  He will be greatly missed by all.

Mac went to be with his precious Lord and Savior, Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 4 a.m. at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Aiken, he was a son of the late Margaret Horsey.  He was the owner and operator of his own trucking company for many years.  After several heart attacks, he retired to a passion of rebuilding and restoring antique cars.  He honored his country by serving in the US Navy.  His grandchildren were the loves of his life, Michael, Ryan, Cameron, Chase, Cayden, Tiffany and Cordel.

Surviving include his loving wife of 48 years, Shirley E. Laborde; sons, Mac Laborde, Jr., (Tamber) of Rock Hill, Shannon Laborde (Stephanie) of Aiken and Richard Hudson (Tracy) of Warrenville; sisters, Joann Wallings (Don) and Mary Parrish (Robbie); his grandchildren, listed above and a special aunt, Lillian Noe.
