Mr. James Robert Jackson age 72 of Aiken, SC son of the late Arnold and Inez Jackson, passed away on Thursday, February 2, at Veterans Hospital. James was born in Cuthbert, GA on November 26, 1944 and had made his home in Aiken since 1985. He grew up in the Panama Canal Zone and was a graduate, class of 63, from Cristlobal High School in Panama Canal Zone. He was a veteran and served in the Air Force He enjoyed fishing, hunting and reading western novels. Survivors include brother and sister in-law, Raymond and Gwen Jackson of Aiken, nieces Angela (Kyle) Roberts of Aiken, Melissa Jackson of Aiken, and sister in-law Mildred Jackson of Williston, nieces Rachelle (Erine) Lee of Aiken, Robin Moore of Williston, and nephew Richard Wolner of New York. He was preceded in death by brother Steve Jackson of Williston. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. A grave side service will be held February 10, 2017 at 11:00am at SouthLawn Cemetery & Mausoleum at 4524 Whiskey Road Aiken, SC.
