I often think of Keith "Bird" Bashant. Today, January 22, 2021, would have been Keith's 68th birthday. Growing up together in the Junction, Keith and I spent a lot of time together on Prospect Street. Whether we were shooting BB guns, pole vaulting over our homemade pole vault setup, or boxing; all in the vacant area next to his house. And, Keith's mom made of endless lunches. So many memories. The Bashant entire family was very All-American. We miss you Bird and thanks for the memories. Mike Kenniston

Dear Mrs. Bashant and Kiki,
I was so sad to hear of the passing of Keith...My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family and Keith's family. Keith was a special person, even in high school. Our lives after high school took us in many different directions, but a friend he always was to me. Keith left his mark on so many people during his time with us...he will be missed.

Dear Aunt Marj and Kikki
I am so sorry to hear of Keith's sad and untimely passing. He left Tupper to persue a dream ,make a career and stand proud of his background where ever the military took him. He was a very good person even as a kid and in school. Keith loved his roots and returned to Tupper often for you as he loved you and home.
Love and Condolences,
Kathy Dougherty

Aunt Marge, you and Uncle Floyd gave Keith a beautiful upbringing resulting in quite an accomplished man. Though he was only here for 58 years, he has left you with great memories both as a son and husband to his wife and children as well as providing his service in the Air Force to protect our country. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Kick. Love Jeff and Nell

So sorry for the loss of Keith. He was such a nice, caring person. I met both of you at Greendale as you were mentors to the children. I always looked forward to you all coming in. Thankful I had the pleasure of knowing him. I will keep you, your children & grandchildren in my prayers. God bless.

To Fran, family and friends I send my sincerest sympathy at this difficult time. Though knowing Keith for less than 5 yrs, it seemed like we had been friends for so much longer as we spent countless hours on the tennis court and engaging in conversations that covered a wide range of topics. Keith was passionate and dedicated to many causes and always had the time for others. We have truly lost a good man.

The world is a better place having had someone as good as Keith in it. He was the best cousin to me, and everyone in our family will miss him. He was kind and compassionate. He had a sense of humor that could make everyone smile and enjoy his presence. His success in the military as a decorated serviceman never took away his modesty. I know Keith is in Heaven now, no longer in pain. Our hearts go out to his wife, children, grandchildren, his mother and brother.
