A Funeral Mass for Mr. William F. Manfredi will be celebrated on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 12 pm at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday, May 25, 2007 from 6-8 pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Avenue, SW, Aiken. Memorial contributions may be directed to Heartland Hospice, 1365 Interstate Parkway, Augusta, GA, 30909.
Mr. Manfredi, 79, of Aiken, died Monday, May 21, 2007 at Heartland Hospice, Augusta.
A son of the late Nicholas and Anna Manfredi, he was born in Rochester, NY. He had lived in Aiken for the past thirty years. Mr. Manfredi was a communicant at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3684. He earned a masters degree in nuclear chemistry and worked at the Savannah River Plant for many years. Recently, he owned Wisteria Manor with his wife; they also owned several motels in the area. Mr. Manfredi was an artist, played bridge, and loved to play the piano. He served in the Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Manfredi is survived by his wife, Eleanor Morono Manfredi; daughters and their husbands: Lynn Manfredi/Pettit and husband Bob Watkins, Decatur, GA, Ellen and Dr. Patrick Mongan, Augusta, Julie and Keith Ward, Greenville, SC; sons: Alan Manfredi, Atlanta, Craig Manfredi, Aiken; sisters: Victoria Brognia, Jeanette Cummings, both of Rochester, NY; grandchildren, Tyler Mongan, Tarolyn and Dan Robinson, Charity and Ramone Adriano, Amanda and Dr. Kyle Young, Joshua Mongan, Kaitlin Mongan, Sean Mongan, Laura Pettit, John E. Manfredi, Grayton Ward, Madison Ward; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
