Obituary of Gertrude M. Hubbard

Gertrude "Trudie" Manley Hubbard passed away on Friday, November 7, surrounded by family at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
Born in Pennsylvania and reared in Wilmington, Delaware, the last 40 years of her life were spent in Aiken.
Her husband, David Foster Hubbard, Jr., her parents, Thomas and Gert Manley, two brothers, Thomas and David Manley and one grandchild Raymond Harlow, preceded Trudie in death.
Survivors include her sister Barbara Ann Gestwick, eight children: Sandra (Butch) Williams, Diane Harlow (fiancé/Mike), Eileen Cannon, David (Carol) Hubbard, Mark Hubbard, Mike (Debbie) Hubbard, Pat Shelton, and Robin Hubbard; ten grandchildren: Butchie and Kaycie Williams, David Harlow, Cole Shelton, Terri Sciarro, Brad, James, Andrew, Michael, and Jonathan Hubbard as well as ten great grandchildren.
Trudie was an avid "Life Master" bridge player and Atlanta Braves fan. Children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren learned to play games and make puzzles at her kitchen table. Grandchildren will serve as her pallbearers.
Trudie was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church. A visitation will be held at George Funeral Home from 4 to 6 PM on Sunday, November 9 beginning with a Vigil. A Requiem Mass will be held at St Mary's Help of Christians Catholic Church on Monday, November 10 at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund or the St. Vincent DePaul Society of St. Mary's Help of Christians Church, Aiken, SC.
