AIKEN, SC- Edward Marvin Meadows, age 86, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016. Mr. Meadows was born April 13, 1929 in Colbert, Georgia to the late O.T. and Plannie Hollfield Meadows. He was a resident of Sanford, N.C. prior to making his home in Aiken, S.C. in 1960. Mr. Meadows was a member of Fountain of Life Fellowship and was a self-employed plumber by trade. In addition to his parents, Mr. Meadows was preceded in death by an infant son, Marvin Meadows; and two step-daughters, Francis Baker and Linda Morris, both formerly of Aiken, SC. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lois W. Meadows; two daughters, Martha Bodie, Graniteville, SC and Cindy Taylor (Jimmy), N. Augusta, SC; a son, Steve Meadows (Karen), New Ellenton, SC; a step-son Cecil Dupree (Jean), Ridgeway, SC; a sister, Myrtle Atwood, Aiken, SC; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Aiken Memorial Gardens with Pastor Robert Skelton officiating.
