AIKEN, SC - Robert Albin "Bob" Boeke, age 71, entered into rest on Friday, December 23, 2016. Bob, as he was affectionately known, was born August 9, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Arnold and Alvera Boeke. He obtained his Master's Degree in Education from Wright State University. Bob spent his career as an educator. He had been a resident of Aiken, SC for the past 17 years. His passion was golf, and he enjoyed volunteering for 10 years with Habitat for Humanity. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Jean Boeke; a daughter, Julie Howard (Thornton), Marietta, GA; a son, Mark Boeke (Kathryn), Severna Park, MD; three grandchildren, Shannon Boeke, Maxwell Howard, and Evan Howard; a sister, Linda Kramer; and three brothers, Donald, Richard, and Henry Boeke. Visitation will be this Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the old historic St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Park Ave., with Father Renaurd West as celebrant.
