AIKEN, SC-- Arline (Ollie) K. Zarner, age 94, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 18, 2018 in Aiken, SC. She was the youngest of six children. She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Mary Kahn, as well as her husband John T. Zarner and later-life partner Michael A. Palmieri, daughter-in-law Jeanne C. Zarner, her siblings: Ethel (John) Kelly, James (Ella) Kahn, Bertha (Monroe) Fleisch, Mabel (Armin) Fink and Irene (Donald) McNeil. She is survived by her son Thomas M. Zarner of Fleming Island, FL, her daughter Marylin T. (John F.) Kline of Aiken SC, grandchildren: Deline (Anthony) Reardon, Teresa Nichols, Jaclyn (Dennis) Foster, and John M. Kline. Arline was blessed to have six great- grandchildren: Sarah (Justin) Collins, Thaddeus Reardon, Cherokee and Ava Nichols, Kellen and Braden Foster. Arline was also survived by her closest friends Peggy Dunleavy of Ormond Beach, FL and Jackie Langner of Aiken. Arline enjoyed being a homemaker and a member of the Red Hats. She also liked cooking, baking cookies for her grandchildren and entertaining. Ollie was a native New Yorker and enjoyed listening to the music of Frank Sinatra. Her favorite song was "My Way" and her life reflected that right up to the end. A special thank you to all of our friends at Agape Hospice and Cumberland Assisted Living. Arline will be cremated and the interment will be at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY. A Celebration of Life will be held at George Funeral Home, Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2:00PM in Aiken.
