Funeral services for Mrs. Juanita Kay Carpenter will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at 1 PM at Central Baptist Church, Aiken, SC with Pastor Louie Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Carpenter will be placed in the church at Noon Tuesday. The family will receive friends Monday, April 12, 2003 from 6 until 8 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. Mrs. Carpenter, 59, of Aiken, SC, died Easter Sunday, morning, April 11, 2004 at her home. Born in Ft. Gordon, GA, a daughter of the late Sallie Juanita Boatright Adler she had been a resident of Aiken, SC, since 1952 where she was a member of Central Baptist Church. She was a retired from the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Augusta, GA, as a L.P.N. A uncle, who she considered her father, Jonas Boatright, sons, Kevin and Daniel Hynes, daughter, Stacey Hynes, all of Aiken, SC; sister, Brenda Sue Adler, Columbia, SC; and grandchildren, Brandon and Cody Hynes and Justin Whitt, survive. Memorials may be made to the Council on Aging, P.O. Box 3156, Aiken, SC 29802.
