My in-laws have lived across the street from the Fergusons for a number of years.Mr. Ferguson was a great comfort to my father in law with my mother-in-law passed. He enjoyed going over to visit Mr. Ferguson. I did not know him personally, but everyone speaks very highly of him. Please accept our condolences.

Gilbert, you will truly be missed by many people. You and Ros were another set of grandparents to the 4 of us Deason girls. We remember like it was yesterday when we were all playing in the snow and you were out there with us making snow angels. Now you are finally back with your angel. We love you and Ros both! Thank you for all the memories over the years.

We\'ve lived across the street from Gib and Ros since 1990. They made us feel welcome in the neighborhood immediately, and became like an extra set of grandparents to our 4 children. That were always giving to the kids at Christmas, birthdays, and everyday. We always knew where the kids had been when they came home with little bags of candy from "Gib and Ros". Even after he became housebound, he loved to look out and watch our kids and our dog play in the street. The last words he spoke to me just a week before his homegoing were, "Where are the kids?"
We are blessed to have known both Gib and Ros for as long as we did. Our prayers are with his family during this time of loss. Please know that Gib remained his good ol\' self right up \'til his time to go. Our little court will not be the same without him. We all miss them both...
With Love,
Bill and Jan Kabakjian

I am Gilbert\'s great niece, and I am sorry I never met him. I wish that I had been able to know his, from what I understand, wonderful personality, and great sense of humor. My thoughts are with our family that he knew, loved, and left behind.

Although we did not have direct contact with our uncle Gib since his move to South Carolina in 1979, we will always have fond memories of him. He was a quite man with very high morals and understanding.
We love you uncle Gib and thank you for the love and affection you showed to us and our mom and dad.
So long and rest in piece.
With Love always,
Your neices, Julie and Joelle and your nephew Bobby.

Gilbert was our neighbor for eleven years. He will always be special to our family. Gilbert and Rosalyn were like "Aiken Grandparents" to our four daughters. We will always cherish his help, friendship, and wonderful sense of humor!!

So long Gib. I will always cherish and remember you for many, many reasons. But most of all what you did for me during the period after Mom died. As a fourteen year old boy at that time, I was in need of someone to step up and provide a place to live as well as provide the love and caring that you and Ros gave me. You sacrificed your time and home security to provide for me.
Gib, I have always known that you had the qualities that many humans know nothing about. Like reponsibility, high moral values, love and respect for your famiy and friends alike, yours was second to none.
Thanks Gib for being my brother, and giving me the oppertunity to achive the levels of life and work I was able to achive.
Your loving Brother,
Robert Bobby to you"

I will always cherish the memories of my favorite brother in-law "Gib". Like the time when Bob and I bought our first home in Torrance, CA. Ros and Gib came by and the first thing Gib said was, "we have to move the water heater out of the kitchen and into garage where it belongs". Gib worked, under house for four hours getting the water heater moved.
Of course I will always recall the weekly visits Ros and Gib made, bringing Winchell Do-Nuts. Mostly, will be my memories of what good and moral of person he was. Although we have not been able to talk lately I will miss you and always be thankful you were there for Bob when it really counted. Because of your love and caring, Bobby, as you called him, was able to go back to school and reach high management levels at Pacific Tel.
With love and respect,
Barbara
