Mrs. Pace Booth Hungerford, 90, of N. Augusta, formerly of Aiken, wife of the late Alvin E. Hungerford, died Saturday, November 10, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, at GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, officiated by Minister Scott Patterson, Burial will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Kevin Wilson Jr., Tyler Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Kevin Wilson Sr., Wayne Rice, and Justin Stonehill. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday, at the funeral home. A daughter of the late Thomas Jennings and Wilhelmina Elizabeth Norris Booth, she was born near Heathsville, Virginia and came to Aiken County in 1951. Mrs. Hungerford was a member of St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church and had attended Charles Wesley United Methodist Church prior to relocating to North Augusta. She was a graduate of Reedville High School in Reedville, Virginia and St. Mary's Seminary in St. Mary's City, Maryland. She attended nursing school at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia. She also attended Smithfield-Massey Business School in Richmond. She was a past member of Houndslake Country Club, Woodside Plantation Country Club and the Pinnacle Club. Mrs. Hungerford was a retired nursing home owner and administrator who had worked at several area facilities. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hungerford was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Norris Booth McKenney. Survivors include: a daughter, Susan Pace Hungerford Wilson and her husband Kevin Dwayne Wilson, Sr., of Belvedere; 3 grandsons, Kevin Dwayne Wilson, Jr., Tyler Christian Wilson and Christopher Ryan Wilson all of Belvedere; a brother in law, Robert Neal McKenney of Irvington, VA and a double first cousin, Virginia "Jinks" Booth Grabbe of Orangevale, CA.
