Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Skipper Funderburk will be held on Monday, September 6, 2010 at 4pm at the Salvation Army Church, 322 Gayle Ave, NW, Aiken. Interment will follow in Graniteville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, David Skipper, John Skipper, Ronnie Skipper, BJ Garrett, Johnnie Davis, and Charles Chandler. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 5, 2010 from 6-8pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Salvation Army, PO Box 439, Aiken, SC, 29802 Mrs. Funderburk, 64, of Aiken, died Friday, September 3, 2010, at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A lifelong resident of Aiken, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Rosa Lee Davis Skipper. She was a member of the Salvation Army Church where she was active in the Ladies Home League, League of Mercy. She was also a Sunbeam Leader and a Sunday school teacher at the church. She was a co owner and operator of Funderburk Motors in Aiken for twenty years. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Johnny Lee Funderburk, brothers, Samuel Skipper, Jr., Billy Skipper, Benny Skipper, and sister, Sybil Carlisle. She is survived by her children, Joseph A. "Joe" Funderburk, Lisa Funderburk Whitman and her husband Darryl, David Lee Funderburk, all of Aiken; brothers, Curtis Skipper, Pelion, SC; Johnny Skipper, Aiken; sister, Beatrice Eisle, Pelion, grandchildren, Bridgette Funderburk, Laura Funderburk, Jason Whitman, god grandson, William BJ Garrett, several nieces and nephews.
