Mrs. Hegler, I knew Barry from the Augusta Chronicle when I worked there as the ad order entry clerk about 10 years ago. You can tell a lot about someone\'s character by how they treat the little people. Barry treated me with respect as a fellow employee. I will always remember him. He was a good person. Sincerely, Theresa Hall

To the family of Barry Hegler
I wish you my utmost sympathy on the death of Barry. My brother, Barry McDonald, introduced me to Mr. Hegler years ago. He was very well known as such a sweet man & a wonderful father & husband. In my years of working here at The Augusta Chronicle, I have gotten to know Barry a little bit better. I have tried to get updates from my brother & sister-in-law on a frequent basis on Barry\'s condition. Just the other day, Gloria in our Human Resources Dept. indicated that Barry was not doing good at all. I immediately & now get very upset to hear of the loss & the struggles that Barry experienced. As you know, my brother Barry McDonald was diagnosed with colon/ rectum cancer over 5 years ago. We are all so very lucky to have him here today. Just to let you know, I am thinking of you and all of your family on this day. May God be with you at this time. Love in Christ,
Stephanie Haywood

My deepest condolences go to Barry\'s wife and family. Barry was a true Christian and a wonderful person. I can picture him in Heaven playing golf and listening to Alabama songs. He will be missed by many. Although I haven\'t seen Barry in several years, I\'ve kept up with him through Garreth and Tracy. I know that he was a loving husband and father. I still have in my Bible the wedding invitation when he and Debbie were married. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family in this time of sorrow.

I had the pleasure of working with Barry at The Aiken Standard and The Augusta Chronicle. He was very good to his advertising customers and his co-workers. I also enjoyed bragging about my fellow "Aikenite" at our company golf tournaments! I know we will all miss Barry\'s sweet personality!
