A memorial service for Mr. Albert Oneal Mullins, Jr., will be held Friday, July 19, 2002 at 7 PM at George Funeral Home, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 PM until the hour of service on Friday. Mr.Mullins, 55, of Aiken, SC, husband of Mrs.Betty Jordan Mullins, died Sunday, evening, July 14, 2002 at The Medical College of Georgia, Augusta. Born in Augusta, GA, a son of the late Albert O. Mullins, Sr., and Ella Mulligan Mullins, North Augusta, SC, he retired from the United States Navy, obtaining the rank of E-6.Mr. Mullins was the recipient of the Navy Achievement Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation. In addition to his wife, Betty Jordan Mullins, and mother, Ella Mulligan Mullins, sons, William S. Mullins, Monetta, SC and Kenneth Mullins, Seattle, WA; former wife and lifelong friend, Harriette S. Mullins, Anacortes, WA; seven step-children, brothers, Billy Mullins, Grovetown, GA and Sam Mullins, Beech Island, SC; sisters, Winnie Lou Davis, North Augusta, SC, Christine Hargett, Marietta, GA, and Donnie Moss, Bishop, GA; grandchildren, Robert Scott Earl-Mullins and Sierra Brook Alaman, sixteen step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild, survive Mr. Mullins. Memorials in memory of Mr. Mullins may be made to the charity of one?s choice.
