Mary Rose Kazokas, 80, of Aiken, SC, formerly of Taylor, PA, died Friday, December 28, 2012 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Funeral services and interment will be held at St. Ann Basilica Church, Scranton, PA at a later date. GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, Aiken, is assisting the family.
A daughter of the late Frank Kazokas and Mary V. Zigas Kazokas, she was born in Scranton, PA and had lived in Lackawanna County until moving to Aiken earlier this year to be with her daughter.
Mrs. Kazokas was a registered nurse and had worked at several Scranton area nursing homes. She was an avid read and also had enjoyed her bus trips to Atlantic City with her friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank A. Bruno; a son, Frank J. Bruno; two sisters, Eva T. Kaboskie and Mildred Kazokas; an two brothers, infant Frank Kazokas and Joseph Kazokas.
She is survived by a daughter, Michele Bruno, Aiken, SC; a son, Jeffrey P. Bruno, Scranton, PA; a sister, Ann Colacci, Manahawkin, NJ; a brother, Thomas Kazokas, Georgia; four grandchildren, John Kolmar, Aiken, Frank Jackson, Apple Valley, CA, Frank S. Bruno, Middlesex, NJ and Matthew Bruno, Plainfield, NJ; three great granddaughters, Henrietta, Angelina and Isabella Jackson, all of Apple Valley, CA; a brother in law, Robert Kaboskie, Scranton, PA and several nieces and nephews.
