I too remember the times visiting Meme and Pepe in Mass. Playing with the big box of toys and especially sliding down the banister. It was always such a treat.
After Pepe died, I remember getting a twin bed from their house that I slept in for years. I particularly enjoyed the cubicals on the head board that I filled with all the treasures that young girls possess: books, dolls, and other odds and ends.
The Lord has blessed Meme in many ways. She has lived a long life with decent health and a good mind. She has had a family who always took care of her and never left her alone. Her last years were in a nursing home but her family always visited. I can only hope that I will recieve the same loving treatment that Meme has and to be surrounded by my family when I die.
I love you Meme...

I am proud to have a grandmother who lived to be 102. I and my family will miss her, but our grief is not like those who have no hope - for I am sure we will meet again, and we will have the joy of her company forever. Eph 2:8-9

I?ll always cherish the memories of the time I spent growing up with Meme.
I remember playing with the large box of blocks that were scraps from Pepe?s woodworking, and that large plane that was in the box with the blocks. Meme would always let Sue, Dan and I have a whole bottle of Coke which was always a special treat that we only got at the grand parents house. After Pepe passed away and Meme moved in with us I fondly remember sitting in her bed room watching TV with her while she rocked back and forth in her rocking chair. I would occasionally walk the mall with her a good mile from the house. A walk she made often to stay in shape. It must of helped she did live to the age of 102 As I got older my wife Kate and I would take Meme and Grandma Alice out for lunch just to enjoy some time together. After Meme moved to Aiken, Kate, our three boys and I would visit her and play Yahtzee, one of her favorite games. And it was wonderful being able to spend her 102nd birthday with her and our whole family.
We will love her forever!
