A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Agnes Donovan Ford will be celebrated by Father John Lawlor on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at 10 AM at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Gloverville, SC. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Aiken, SC. Pallbearers will be David Andrew Franklin, David Michael Ford, and James Michael, John Joseph, Timothy Eugene, Thomas Edward, and Richard Louis Dickert. A Christian Wake Service will be held Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 5:30 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. The family will receive friends following the Wake Service until 8:00 PM. Mrs. Ford, 92, of Warrenville, SC, died Sunday, morning, October 2, 2005 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born Saluda County, SC, a daughter of the late John Clancey and Carrie Forrest Donovan, she had been a resident of Aiken County, SC, for most of her life where she retired from Graniteville Company Hickman Division after forty-eight years of service. She had recently received special recognition for being the oldest communicant of Our Lady of the Valley and was also a member of the Chatterboxes. She is survived by daughters, Mary F. Franklin, Warrenville, SC and Barbara Dickert, Aiken, SC; sister, Catherine Brantley, Aiken, SC; twelve grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and twenty-three great-great-grandchildren. A son, Edward Jeremiah Ford, preceded her in death. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 2429 Augusta Rd., Gloverville, SC 29828.
