Funeral services for Mr. Pete Chris Cholakis will be held Saturday, June 22, 2002 at 2 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC, with Father Cyril Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery, Aiken. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Trisagion Service will be held at 7 PM. The family will also receive friends at the Karapatakis residence, 3508 Gamble Rd., Aiken. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church 953 Telfair St., Augusta, GA 30907. Mr. Cholakis, 72, of North Babylon, NY, formerly of Aiken, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at Berkshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, West Babylon, NY. Born in Aiken, SC, the son of the late Chris Cholakis and Cleo Phomos Cholakis. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.
