Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret E. Morris will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at 12 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC, with Reverend John Doubles officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Joseph Griffin, Charles Morris, Douglas Morris, Jr., DeLeon Evans, Allen Morris, and Mike Grooms. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville, SC. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of service. Mrs. Morris, 74, of Vance, SC and formerly of Aiken, SC, wife of Mr. James E. Morris, died Sunday, morning, August 3, 2003. Born in Edgefield, SC, a daughter of the late Ben J. and Lela Bryant Booth, she had lived in Aiken, SC, for many years prior to moving to Eutawville and later Vance, SC. She was a member of Santee Presbyterian Church. In addition to her husband of forty-seven years, Mr. James E. Morris, sons, Charles E. Plumley, Montmorenci, SC and Danny Plumley, Lexington, SC; daughters, Louise Elizabeth Kestler, West Columbia, SC, Thelma A. Carter, Columbia, SC; and Betty Jean Patton, Goose Creek, SC; twelve grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren, survive. The family has requested that memorials in memory of Margaret be made to Santee Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 649, Santee, SC 29142 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box Drawer K., Aiken, SC 29802.
