Funeral services for John Wesley Turner, 81, of Warrenville, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, at Lighthouse Fellowship in Edgefield. Officiating will be Rev. James Coleman and Rev. Dale Quarles, burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alan Toole, Gary Toole, David Toole, Andrew Wade, Craig Wade and Terry Porter. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at George Funeral Home and Cremation Center and other times at his residence, 134 Timmerman St., Warrenville, SC.
Mr. Turner, who was married to the late Mary F. Turner, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2012. Born in Edgefield, he was a son of the late Earley Elbert and Daisy Bartley Turner. He was retired from the Kendall Company. Mr. Turner was preceded in death by a brother, Earley Ray Turner, sisters, Edna Parkman and Eolise Powell and a granddaughter, Melissa Porter.
Surviving are a special friend, Martha Gantt of Warrenville; his son, Donald Wade Carolyn; daughter, Bobbie Jean Neville Jack all of Warrenville; a brother, Charlie Turner of Edgefield; grandsons, Gary C. Toole Janet, David G. Toole Sheila, J. Alan Toole Lynn and Craig Wade; a granddaughter, Gina Y. Johnson Emerson; 17 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
