Graveside services for Mr. James Harold Ritz, Jr., will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 3pm at Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1-2:30pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken. Memorial Contributions may be directed to The Alzheimer?s Association, c/o Council on Aging, PO Box 3156 Aiken, SC, 29802. Mr. Ritz, 77, of Aiken, died Saturday, December 15, 2007 at his residence. Born in Wheeling, WV, he was the son of late James Harold and Dorothy Mary Ullam Ritz, Sr. He moved to Aiken in 1970 from Shaker Heights, OH. He received a bachelor?s degree in business management from Ohio University, where he played football. He worked for Wheeling Steel and Reynolds Aluminum. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Beth Ann Ritz, grandchild, Devin Vollmer, and brother, Robert Hamilton Ritz. He is survived by his wife of fifty one years, Betty Burt Ritz, daughters, Rhonda Ken Gabriel, Cathy Ronnie Karpinski, Greta Thomas Kelly, all of Aiken, sister- in-law, Lorraine Ritz, grandchildren, Jason Starks, Autumn Zuehlke, Amber Crumpton, Mitchell Gabriel, Chloe Gabriel, Dylan Guisti, David Guisti, Mandi Mock, Nikki Vollmer, Hope Vollmer, Jimmy Bell, Kristen Kelly, Carrie Kelly, Shane Kelly, and four great grandsons.
