Mrs. Thelma Virginia Nusbaum, 77, of Aiken, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Visitation will be held from 4:30pm-6:30pm Saturday, at GEORGE FUNERAL HOME, AIKEN. Graveside services will be held at 11:00am Monday, October 13, 2014, at Grace United Church of Christ Cemetery, in Taneytown, MD. Memorial donations may be made to GHSF Fund 1078, Georgia Regents University Neurology Clinic (ALS), Attn: Dr. Rivner/Brandy, 1120 15th St., BP-4367, Augusta, GA, 30912.
Born in Taneytown, MD, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Haines Motter. Mrs. Nusbaum was a member of Keysville Lutheran Church, In Keysville, MD., she was a former administrator for several small business's for a number of years. She enjoyed playing Bunko, Mah Jongg, Canasta, Rummy and other card games with her friends and family. She also enjoyed cooking.
Survivors include her husband, Dean Nusbaum of Aiken; sons, Kevin Nusbaum (Brenda) of New Albany, Ohio, Kendal Nusbaum of Rockville, Maryland and Karry Nusbaum (Anne) of Oxford, PA; sisters, Theo Amoss of Westminster, Maryland, Betty Sanders of Littlestown, PA and Isabelle Reitz of Westminster, Maryland; 5 grandchildren, Sara, Jesse, Dean, Anne and Karry Nusbaum.
