Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Lucille Killion will take place on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 11am at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church, Aiken with The Rev. Charlotte Waldrop officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Killion, 95, of Aiken, died on Christmas Day at Carriage Hills Plantation. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken is assisting the family. A daughter of the late Benjamin and Emily Anders McCarty, she was born in Washington, DC and had lived in Aiken since 1968. She was a member of St. Thaddeus church and had been a tireless volunteer in the church office for over 38 years. In her retirement, she enjoyed playing golf with her friends at the Aiken Golf Club and was well known as an accomplished bridge player. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband; Howard Killion and her son; Robert Vaughn Killion. She is survived by a grandson; Todd Killion, Aiken and a nephew; Peter L. Wrenn, Sterling, VA
