Mrs. Margaret Evelyn Richardson Windham, 82, wife of the late Harry S. Windham, died Tuesday, August 05, 2003 at Carriage Hills Nursing Center, Aiken, SC. Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday, August 7, 2003 at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel with Revs. W.C. Lowe and Herb Sons officiating. Visitation will be held tonight from 6-8PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Aiken Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Windham was a native of Mullins, SC and the daughter of the late Walter O?Neal and Maggie Collins Richardson. She was preceded in death by her twin brothers Woodrow and William Richardson. Mrs. Windham was a graduate of Greshem High School, Greshem, SC, then she obtained her four year degree at Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Rapids, IW and then joining the Navy, serving as a W.A.V.E. during WWII working in intelligence in Washington, DC for three years. She moved to Aiken in 1952 from Johnsonville, SC and was a member of South Aiken Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters and son in laws; Blanche Windham and Wyman Rodgers, Edgefield, SC, Harra Windham and Charles Venable, Beech Island, SC, brothers, Hagood, Richardson, Heath Springs, SC, Howard Richardson, Allendale, SC, James L. Richardson, Charleston, SC, sister, Mary Fox, Aiken, SC, granddaughters, Tamara Wise Key, Shelly Rodgers Fulghum, Kristie Wise Scott, Jennifer Rodgers, and Erin Wise Byars and seven great grandchildren.
