Funeral services for Esther Nunn Farrell, 97, of Lexington, formerly of Aiken, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Officiating will be Rev. Joel Brantner. Burial will be private and under the care of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Caring Connections, Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church, 5503 Sunset Blvd., Lexington, SC 29072. Mrs. Farrell, widow of Luther M. Farrell, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017. Born in Windsor, she was a daughter of the late Alex and Jenny Wade Nunn. She retired from Harvey Hubble and was a member of First Baptist Church of Aiken. Esther was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her home. She was a wonderful cook. Survivors include her daughters Jeannette Holley of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Sheila (Walt) Werner of Lexington, SC. Granddaughters Kim (Jay) Koon of Lexington, SC, Jina (Gregg) Campbell of Dalton, GA, and Renee Crawford of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Grandson Joey (Jessie) Werner of Tallahassee, FL. Great grandchildren Tiffany Campbell of Chattanooga, TN, Lauren Campbell of Corona Del Mar, CA, Alexis Crawford of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Katie and Jacob Koon of Lexington, SC, and Gabriel and Jude Werner of Tallahassee, FL.
