The friends of Mr. Ed A. Murray are invited to drop by the Murray residence on Thursday, August 5, 2004 between 5 and 7 PM to share memories of ''Mr. Ed''. As per Ed's request his remains will be cremated and no service will be held. Mr. Murray, 67, of Aiken, SC, affectionately known as ''Mr. Ed'', husband of Mrs. Kathleen Cay Crowe, died Sunday, morning, August 1, 2004 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Aiken, SC following a short illness. Born in and a resident of San Francisco, CA for most of his life, Ed was a son of the late James and Katherine D. Keane Murray. He retired from the Department of Public works for the City and County of San Francisco in 1993 after twenty years of service. Ed had his wife Cay came to Aiken, SC in September of 1999 where he became a lifetime member of the Aiken Golf Club and became very active in both the Aiken Republican Club and the Aiken County Republican Party, where he was an Executive Committee member. Ed devoted much of his time to the Hunt, Barrett, DeMint, and Sprawls campaigns. In addition to his wife, Cay, two daughters, and many cousins, nieces and nephews survive. The family has asked that memorials in Ed's memory be made to the Aiken County Republican Party P.O. Box 761 Aiken, SC 29802.
