Graveside services for Mr. Lloyd Benjamin Dillard will be held Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 1pm at Southlawn Cemetery with Rev. Toby Rowell officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of your choice. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Avenue, SW is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Dillard, 82, of Aiken, died, April 12, 2006 at Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center.. Mr. Dillard was born in Sylva, NC to the late David H. and Ora Bumgarner Dillard. Mr. Dillard lived in Sylva before moving to Aiken in 1952 where he lived most of his life. The owner of Dillard?s Cabinet Works, he loved cabinet and furniture making, and wood restoration. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Montmorenci and the Aiken Homebuilders Association. He proudly served his country in the Army during World War II. Mr. Dillard was predeceased by his wife, Edna Parris Dillard; brothers J.C. Dillard, Walter Dillard, David Dillard; sister, Peggy Clark. Mr. Dillard is survived by son, Kenneth Dillard, Aiken; daughters, Lorrene Gabriel, and Sue Eubanks both of Montmorenci; sister, Wanda Lovedahl, Sylva, NC; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
