A Celebration of Life Service for Ms. Martha Jane Gunter Busch will be held on Friday, August 20, 2010 at 11am at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken with Rev. David Harper officiating. Interment will follow in Clearwater Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ray Day, Charles Day, Lester Hall, Charlie Torquato, Randy Weeks, and Kyle Edgington. The family will receive friends tonight Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home and at the home of Linda Green. Memorial contributions may be directed to Aiken SPCA, 401 Wire Rd, Aiken, SC, 29803. Ms. Busch, 61, of Aiken, died Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at her residence. A lifelong resident of Aiken, she was the daughter of Eula Lee Smith Gunter and the late William Tracey Gunter. She was a lifelong member of Clearwater Branch Baptist Church where she was the pianist. Before becoming a Health Protection Inspector at Savannah River Site, Martha was a book keeper at Winn Dixie. Martha loved to play the piano, fish, work in her garden, and help people. She enjoyed taking trips to the beach. Martha also loved to spend time with her cats, especially Bibi. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her nephew, Al Gunter. She is survived by her loving daughter, Kim Cadden and her father Marvin Cadden of Aiken, brothers Martin Gunter and his wife Jean, Melvin Gunter and his wife Sherri, both of Aiken; sisters Lillian Rees, Linda Green and her husband Jimmie, both of Aiken, numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank, Kathy and Bert Pilz, Charlie and Clara Torquato, John and Melinda Vigil.
