Michael Douglas Flynn died January 31, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 18, 1978 in Aiken, SC. He graduated from Aiken High in 1996. He worked for the City of Aiken. He is survived by his mother Sherry Hall Flynn Susan Dodd of North Augusta; wife Ashley Frierson Flynn of Aiken; sons, Dylan, Aidan and James, all of Aiken; brother Thomas J. Flynn Katherine, Lexington SC; grandmother Jeane C Hall, Aiken; Aunts - Debbie Hall Gallemore Warren High Point, NC and Lisa J. Hall Vaucluse; Uncle - Dusty Hall Marie Aiken and many beloved cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Douglas R. Hall of Aiken. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Shlaer and the staff of Medical Oncology Associates of Augusta, Ga. for their caring concern and treatment; the oncology staff at University Hospital for their devotion and excellent standard of care, Ralph Smith and staff of Tri-County Home Health for their compassionate care and the City of Aiken for their amazing support during Michael's illness. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 1 pm at Aiken First Baptist Church with Dr. Fred W. Andrea III officiating. The family will receive friends after the service. Interment will be private at Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials made to the college education funds for Dylan, Aidan and James at Wells Fargo 1797 Whiskey Road Aiken, SC 29801 or 1111 Laurens St. NW Aiken, SC 29801 funds for each child are under the name of Lisa Jeane Hall.
