Funeral services for Mr. Albert F. Sizemore will be held Saturday, July 5, 2003 at 10 AM at Talatha Baptist Church, Aiken, SC, with Pastor David Lester officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.The family will receive friends Friday, July 4, 2003 from 6-8 PM at George Funeral Homes, Southside Chapel, 3175 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC. Pallbearers will be Partners in Ministry of Talatha Baptist Church. Mr. Sizemore will be placed in the church at 9 AM on Saturday. Mr. Sizemore, 83, of Aiken, SC, husband of Marion McCarty Sizemore, died Wednesday, morning, July 2, 2003 at his residence. Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken, SC, he was son of the late Fuller and Betsy Hurt Sizemore. He was a member of Talatha Baptist Church where he had formerly taught Sunday school. A veteran of World War II, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired in 1979 after twenty-seven years of service from E.I. DuPont. In addition to his wife of fifty-eight years, Marion McCarty Sizemore, sons, Bob Sizemore and Charles and his wife, Vickie Sizemore, all of Aiken, SC; brothers Earl and Herbert Sizemore, both of Aiken, SC; sister, Dorothy Carter, Belvedere, SC; grandchildren, Charles Sizemore, Jr. and Michelle Thompson and great-grandchildren, Jessica Gaites and Sydney Thompson, survive.
