What sweet memories I have of your mother! Even though we had attended the same church, I had the privilege of talking with her more at Cumberland Hills when I would visit my mother. Naomi always had such a big smile when she would be going outside each afternoon. She especially enjoyed talking to my little granddaughters and waving goodbye to them.. One day about four years ago, she taught the oldest one (age 3) how to draw a flower. I also remember my mother's last Easter season when our associate minister, an elder, and I met with Mother, Naomi, and Barbara Kemp for communion. Afterwards, your mother asked me, "Have they found any cure for this disease?" Yes, she was a special lady--very talented, caring, and proud of you.

My condolences to Naomi's daughters and their families. I fondly remember sitting at the docent desk at the Aiken Historical Museum with Naomi for several years in the 90's. We had a good time talking. We were also in the same book club and attended many enjoyable First Presbyterian activities with Joe and Naomi. Her artwork was an inspiration to my husband who also used to paint (but he was not as talented as Naomi.) Arlene Lane
