Monica - with hurt in my heart I saw the loss in the Decatur paper today - had just heard that Bob had sickness and just last week sent him a letter. Wish I could have talked to him one more time to thank him for ALL the good things he did for me and my family while I worked for Essex. He guided me to a successful finish in my career at Essex in Decatur and I will NEVER forget all the good things he did for me during the time we worked together in Decatur and the short time he was at Fort Wayne, Indiana with us.
Bob was one of a kind - I liked him from the day I met him and I will never forget how he helped me many times.
Wish I had a magic wond - I would sure use it here but I don\'t. Your Friend

Dear Fruin Family, Please accept our heartfelt sympathy on the passing of your father. Caring thoughts and prayers will be with you during this time of sorrow I feel so fortunate to have grown up knowing Mr. Fruin. His laugh and red face, the way he played "As Time Goes By" at the grown-ups parties too many great memories to recount here. I searched my photo albums for pictures of him today to share with my husband and daughters. He was a true treasure, and will be sorely missed. We hope your memories will help sustain you during this time. Sincerely, Bean Ecos Zahn

Bob was a fine role model for me - purposeful and assured but also a sly, irreverent wit always breaking through, making people laugh.
I\'m grateful for the memories and very sorry for your loss
