Your mother was always lucky to have such caring children who made her life so interesting. I will choose to remember her as she was and the adventures that we had- chocolate mousse at the Studio
restaurant in Miami, the guided tour of the Metro Zoo, the Gulf American building, the Price Hamlet restaurant, etc etc.
I am glad that she is finally at peace.

We have many happy memories of Ruth joining our July 4th pool parties during her summer visits to Hillsdale. She had a great sense of humor and a loving nature. Of course her "little bit of Bailey's" did get me in trouble with the Doc's. But we laughed about it for years. She will be missed. Fondly, Pat and Jim

Me and my wifes condoleances to all of you, Jean, Robert, Judy and Janice and families.
I met your mother twice, the first time in Sweden in august 1937 when she visited us at Eskilstuna. I remember particularly the photo that was taken of Ruth sitting in a white armchair outside our house with me and my brother at either side.
Next time was in the 1960:ties when I visited Ruthies and Josephs up in Conn, when i also met all of you.
Janice and Judy has later visited us here in Sweden.
We are thinking of all of you these days when your beloved mother has gone and wish you all the best. May be we will meet one day.
Your mothers cousin Per-Olov and Gunnel

I met Mrs. Ottoson only once. Her daughter Janice is my friend. Janice and her mother joined a group of friends for a weekend trip some years ago. In only one weekend it was apparent that Mrs. Ottoson was bright and fun. She joined in and made everyone\'s weekend a memorable one. I am sorry to hear of Mrs. Ottoson\'s passing. I know she\'s in a better place. I grieve not only for her, but the loved ones she leaves behind and who undoubtedly will miss her and remember her as once full of life and excitement. She did her job and more on this earth and left it a better place because of her presence. Ruth Ottoson is in my prayers. Our birthdays fall on the same day, so you know we share a kinship even though our acquaintance was brief.

I remember all the wonderful meals Mom cooked. She was a great cook. I have never had better chipped beef. Her pot roasts and gravy and mashed potatoes were super tasting. Her rootmoss "sp?" was awesome. Mom cooked hundreds of delicious meals. I thanked her when she was alive in the 1990\'s, when I appreciated all of her care even more.
Love, Judy daughter
PS This is not private. I want all to know what a super Mom we had.

When I think of grandma, I think of all the summers she shared with us in NJ while I was growing up. So many memories bring a smile to my face. She was there for my 1st dive off the low-board at Stoneybrook Swim Club--I was terrified but grandma allayed my fears with the promise of a Farrah Fawcett doll if I did it. So after hours of turning back, I marched up there in front of her, dove right in, and we headed to Valley Fair later that day.
I also remember fondly some of her daily routines--coming into the kitchen and seeing her at the stove in one of her colorful mumus from Hawaii and frying up a pork chop or some zuchini--she loved pork chops. She also loved playing bridge, even on the Atari. She\'d like saying she was off to \'play with Omar\' Sharif.
At this time, I\'m also reminded of a trip to Savanah Georgia over one mother\'s day weekend. Mom, Aunt Janice, Grandma and I met there after my frosh year of college in Atlanta. It was a beautiful May weekend: we went on some tours, ate in nice restaurants and did our own exploring. We all had a great time.
Grandma has been part of so many wonderful memories--these are just a few that stay with me and I wanted to share. Love from her grandaughter Susan Susie.

Our mother was the best mother I could ask for. She took care of four young children after our father died. I look back and wonder how did she do it. Mom was interested in many things. She loved to play bridge and read. She also loved to see a Broadway play. She knew how to get around the city of New York. And when she was in California with us she took the Santa Monica Blue Bus to the movies and to her favorite English tea room and of course she asked for Earl Gray tea. Mom loved to travel too. She was my travel buddy. Robert used to say she was the richest poor person he knew.

I thank Mom Ruth for all that she did for us. Her husband died in 1955. He was 36 and Mom was 34. She did a splendid job raising the 4 of us. We are very grateful. We also thank the gentle caregivers at Pepper Hill for their many hours of helping our Mom.
Mom loved to socialize and play bridge. Ruth was very smart.
Love, Judy Lynn Daughter

Thanks to my Mom for raising us with a positive attitude. Many 34 year olds left with the task of raising four children 13 and under would have been overwhelmed. But our Mom Ruth took her first real Job and buckled down to the task. What a good job she did. It was rough going but we all yurned out well. All different but having positive outlooks and successful in our own ways. Thanks to God and our Mom, Ruth.
Lovingly her first born Jean Ruth Ottoson Freedman
