Jean "Sam" Hill, 87, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, November 24, 2013. Jean was born July 15, 1926, in Antwerp, Belgium, the daughter of the late Henri and Matilda Bechhols. Jean was predeceased by her husband, Chester Hill and her furry companion Cally the cat. Jean was a devoted mother who loved taking care of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Over the years she won numerous blue ribbons for her knitting. Jean was also an avid Braves fan and loved to play golf and go bowling. Jean is survived by her two sons, Jim Crow Jr. (Susan) of Columbia, SC & Wayne Crow (Sue) of Aiken, SC., five grandchildren, David Crow (Miriam), John Crow & Matthew Crow of Columbia, SC, Jeremy Crow (Allison) of Aiken, SC & Amy (Crow) Sikorski (Stephen) of Knoxville, TN and fifteen great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at GEORGE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTER, Aiken, SC with Pastor Tad Marshall officiating. Burial to follow at St. Paul United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at George Funeral Home.
