I always enjoyed Uncle Fred's visits back to WV and the stories he could tell. He was a pleasant and friendly man and I'm sure we'll miss him very much. I'm certain he and Grandma Nellie have a lot of catching up to do. She always spoke highly of her brother.

Dear Penix Family,
Our thoughts & prayers are with you during this difficult time.
I met Fred through Rannah. Although I only knew him a short time, he impacted my life. He was a kind & caring man, with heart of gold. The memories I have of him will live in my heart 4-ever. I take comfort in knowing that he is now at home, pain free. He was a special person & will be missed by all that knew him.
We pray for you & the family in this time of sorrow. We know it's not easy losing someone you love & need. But there will be a brighter tomorrow.
God has a plan for you, he will give you strength & courage to lead you on your way.
He will guide you & protect you when you are out of sorts, he will shine his light upon you when you are at your lowest point.
At times, you will feel that life is not fair to lose the one you love, God will never steer you wrong, It's all a part of his plan, to guide the one you love to his promised land.
May the Lord watch over you & your family in this time of need.....God Bless you!

Hello, Richard. I am so sorry for your loss. From when I first met Fred back in 97, he struck me as a very kind man, you know, the grandfather kind.
I'll never forget when you told me that if I ever wanted some excitement, then I should take a ride with Fred.
And you were right about that, you know. I had fun together with him when we drove around back in 97.
I'll light a candle in honor of his memory later this evening.
My thoughts are with you and your family...
