Mrs. Frances Rivers Ringl, age 89, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 8th. Funeral Services and interment will begin at 2 PM, May 15, at the Sunrise Chapel in Arlington Memorial Park, Atlanta. Mrs. Ringl was the oldest child of the late Francis Rivers and Ruth Christopher Rivers. Survivors include her only sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Trulock of Atlanta and her two daughters, Beverly Ringl Collins of Aiken, SC, and Margaret Ruth Bruehl of Orlando, FL. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren: Christopher Collins, Patty Collins, Timothy Collins, Rebecca Cosper, Jessica Wilson, James Bruehl and Amanda Bruehl. She was also blessed with 5 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and other family members who loved her dearly. Her husband, Charles Ringl, preceded her in death. Mrs. Ringl was a dedicated nurse as well as mother. She received her nursing education at Piedmont Hospital and worked in the Chicago area as a hospital and school nurse, encouraging students to consider nursing as a career. She was always eager to learn more, and earned her BA later in life. Her daughter, Beverly, was one who followed in her footsteps. She was generous in service to others and had a great gift for connecting with people as demonstrated by her involvement in church and volunteer work. She regularly hosted Thanksgiving dinner for the extended family and kept in touch with life-long friends. In lieu of flowers, she requested donations go to Second Ponce de Leon Baptist Church, 2715 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30305 for the Library, where she served for years, or to Campus Crusade for Christ, 100 Lake Hart Drive, Orlando, FL 32832, for the Jesus Film Project.
