Died on September 6, 2008, and went to be with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ
Mary Wilkins Clary Taylor will be laid to rest where most of her family resides in Aiken, South Carolina. A graveside service will be held at Aiken Memorial Gardens on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 10am. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made on her behalf to John Hagee Ministries, 800 854-9899, to further support the message of the gospel of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Mary Wilkins Clary Taylor was a daughter of the late Mr. Richard Evans Wilkins and Mrs. Mary Estelle Wilkins. She had six siblings: James Lafayette Wilkins, and four predeceased brothers, Richard Evans Wilkins, George Humphrey Wilkins, Ross Pollock Wilkins, and Frederick Kent Wilkins, and one predeceased sister, Modine Estelle Wilkins. Mary was retired from the State of Florida, Department of Education, where she served as a paralegal. She was also employed by the District Court of Appeals, and worked as a teacher for the Lively Technical Institute. Prior to her public service, Mary worked in the private sector in her husband's law firm as a legal secretary. The greater part of her life was spent in Tallahassee, Florida, where the last eight years she lived with and was cared for by her daughter, Leslie Mary Ann Taylor.
Mary is survived by her brother, James Lafayette Wilkins, Clinton, South Carolina, and her three children, Daniel Humphrey Taylor, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Leslie Mary Ann Taylor, Tallahassee, Florida, and Brooks Kent Taylor, Punta Gorda, Florida, and her seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family expressed that they shall see their mother again in the Kingdom of God.
