Obituary of Samuel Curtis English
AIKEN, SC - Samuel Curtis English, age 63, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on October 10, 2024. Born on November 21, 1960, in Ft. Pierce, FL, Curtis was the beloved son of the late Samuel Jones English and the late Jeannette Wells English.
Curtis spent his life immersed in the beauty of the outdoors, finding joy in hunting, fishing, and farming. His passion for construction and operating heavy equipment was evident in his dedication to the family business, Sam English Grading, where his hard work and commitment left a lasting legacy.
Curtis’ greatest joy was his family, especially his cherished grandchildren. A devoted father and grandfather, he leaves behind a legacy of love and memories in the hearts of his loved ones.
In addition to his parents, Curtis was preceded in death by his sister, Rita Faye English. He is survived by his three sons, CJ English (Terri), Nick English (Leslie), and Wesley English (Mallory Arbaugh); his adored grandchildren, Cameron English, Olivia English, Adleigh English, and Nolan English; his brother, Chris English (Marcia); and his sister, Pam English.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at George Funeral Home. A private interment will follow. Pallbearers will be Nick English, CJ English, Wesley English, Cameron English, Jason Davis, Chris Vaughn, and Jim Williams. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Nolan English.
