Please share a memory of Anthony to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Anthony "Tony" Walter Woznicki, 64, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at his residence in the Woodside community in Aiken, SC.
Born on the 20th of January in 1960 in Meriden, Connecticut, and a lifelong resident of Wallingford, CT until moving to Aiken 2 years ago, Anthony was the son of the late Marie Zawadzki Woznicki. Anthony dedicated his life to serving others, particularly in his work as a police officer for the City of Meriden. After thirty years of loyal service, he retired in May of 2017.
A loving husband for over 35 years, Anthony wed his college sweetheart, Elizabeth Cromwell Woznicki, igniting a profound bond graced with joy, laughter, and an unwavering partnership. Their union produced three devoted children: Louanne Melanie Woznicki of Charlotte, North Carolina, Sara Elizabeth Woznicki of Richmond, Virginia, and William Anthony Woznicki of Bremerton, Washington. Tony took great pride in being a dedicated father and ensured they had great childhoods and strong foundations for their respective futures. Tony also leaves behind a legacy through his beloved siblings: Melanie Marie Woznicki of Aiken, South Carolina and Theodore Thomas (wife Nancy) Woznicki, Jr. of Torrington, Connecticut. He was also cherished by his many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.
Those who knew Tony knew him for his sense of humor and love of family. Tony could be found perfecting his golf swing, enjoying a pool, trying out new breweries, tending to his vegetable garden, and playing games with friends and loved ones. Tony combined his dry wit with a caring soul, ensuring his family laughed as often as they could and felt his love and support.
In homage to his battle with cancer, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Massey Cancer Center, 401 College St, Richmond, VA 23298 or www.masseycancercenter.org.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a time and date to be announced.
