Obituary of Sarah P. Smith

GLOVERVILLE, SC – Sarah P. Smith, age 82, passed away August 26, 2024.

Mrs. Smith was born January 9, 1942 in Aiken County, SC to the late David and Helen Phillips. She was a life-long area resident and retired as a manager from Carole Fabrics. Mrs. Smith loved to shop and socialize at restaurants. She enjoyed time with her family and boating at the lake.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Samuel Leroy Smith; three daughters, Monica Smith Murphy (Patrick), Angela Smith Miner (Glenn), and Sabrina Broos (Radim); six grandchildren, Michael (Erin), Kristen, Brandon, Justin, Gavin, and Ethan; two great-grandchildren, Hemsley and Ashley Jane; a sister, Mary Smith; and a brother, Rev. David Phillips (Linda).

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at George Funeral Home with the funeral following at 2:30 p.m. in The George Funeral Chapel. Private interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
