Obituary of Joseph William Ulreich

Joseph William Ulreich, beloved husband of Lynne Avilla Ulreich, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday evening, August 20, 2024, at the age of 82 following a brief struggle with brain cancer. 

Joseph was born on December 30th, 1941, in Chicago Heights, Illinois to the late John George and Edith Lantham Ulreich.  Mr. Ulreich was a veteran having served in the California National Guard. He worked in Insurance Management throughout his career and was a dedicated member of the Woodside Golf Club. He also volunteered with the SC Golf Association and was honored with the Volunteer of the Year award. Joseph served as a Rules Official for both the South Carolina Golf Association and the Georgia Golf Association. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Joseph William & Cynthia Ulreich, Jr of Waterford, Michigan; his daughter, Julia Lynne Ulreich of Minehill, New Jersey; his brothers, John G. Ulreich, Jr. of Evanston, IL and Douglas C. Ulreich of Richter Park, IL; as well as 2 grandchildren, Joshua and Derek Knapp, 7 great-grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends.

Joseph will be remembered for his love of golf, his dedication to volunteering, and his unwavering commitment to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
