Obituary of Helen Keyko Boyce

Helen Keyko Boyce was born September 22, 1943 in Camden, NJ to Josephine and Alexander Keyko and died July 31, 2024 at Hitchcock Square in Aiken, SC surrounded by family and a dear friend after living tenaciously with cancer for over a decade.
She was preceded in death by her husband William T. Boyce, son Timothy Alexander Donald (Tad) Boyce and brother, David A. Keyko. Her survivors include daughter Candace Boyce and son-in-law Peter Eisenhauer of Henrico, Virginia, son Paul Boyce of Aiken as well as grandchildren Mira and Willa (Will) Eisenhauer. She is also survived by a brother Paul Keyko and brothers-in-law James and Donald Boyce and sister-in-law Phyllis Weber.
Helen graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in chemistry and completed a M.S. degree in Library Science at Glassboro State University. Helen brought her passion for books and education to the various library positions she held through her career including at St. Angela Academy and Aiken Technical College. After her retirement, she enjoyed her garden and spent time volunteering with many organizations including the Aiken Association of Special Citizens and Special Olympics and ACTS of Aiken.
Many friends and organizations helped and supported Helen over the years. These include the staff of Hitchcock Square Assisted Living, Agape Hospice, Visiting Angels and Pruitt Home Health as well as the congregations of St. Paul United Methodist Church and St. Mary’s Help of Christians Church. Her family expresses sincere gratitude and appreciation to the many kind souls who gave of their time and hearts for Helen.
A funeral mass will be said at St. Mary’s Help of Christians Church at a later date to be announced.
Memorial donations can be made to the Tri-Development Center or the Aiken County Association of Special Citizens.
