We bonded with Lois and Roy during an exhilarating (read terrifying) helicopter ride in Hawaii in 1992. Roy, being a retired ‘fly boy’ knew all about thermals, wind shear and other technical stuff. The rest of us were like kids on Space Mountain at Disney. It was the beginning of a 32-year friendship that crossed several states before we all ended up in South Carolina. The years were filled with travel adventures, lots of laughs, fabulous meals (all prepared by Loie), shared sewing projects, and copious amounts of Dewar’s. Great memories that we will forever treasure.
