Tammy and I met Jan and Zuzana four years ago when we moved next door. Jan and I hit it off immediately since with both loved cigars, single malt scotch and talking about business and politics.
We played a memorable round of golf together back then and we spent lots of time remembering the shots we hit and the fun we had.
Jan's life is the quintessential American rags to riches story and he will be missed by all of us.
Zuzana. I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Jan. Clearly, he was the love of your life. He will be missed on the golf course and I’m confident that Jim (Mallak - my husband) will honor his memory each day the guys golf.
Deepest sympathy,
Luce Mallak
Jan arrived at the Reserve Club and lived across the fairway from us. I enjoyed playing golf with him and having beer and/or cocktails. He was a very interesting person with lots of stories. When he first arrived here he joined Planet Fitness and we both would arrive there to work out early mornings. As the disease slowly ate away his strength he never gave up he continued to work on his strength by taking boxing lessons and working out. He was a very special person and will be missed in our community. Al
Jan and I both spent many years as suppliers to the automotive industry. We talked many times about that crazy market. We were both “drafted” members of our country’s military. He told me about the Soviet tanks in Prague and how he got out of the country and to the USA. I enjoyed our times on the golf course even when his game started to leave him. A really good man. God bless.
