Obituary of Derek Allen Caldwell

Derek Allen Caldwell, 39, of Martinsburg, West Virginia passed away on January 14, 2024, at the Columbia VA Health Care System.

Born on May 28, 1984, in Winchester, Virginia, he was the son of the late Julian Allen Caldwell and Patrice Ellis Boltz. Derek was a truck driver who loved traveling the road. He was a loving son, father, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be greatly missed.

Surviving in addition to his mother are a daughter, Pipe Unger; a brother, Brandon, A Caldwell of Aiken, a sister, Christine Ochoa-Grochowski of Aiken; a niece, Sophia Caldwell of Aiken; Aunts and Uncles, Cindy (Skip) Wilson of Martinsburg, Helen (Donald) Barney of Appomattox, VA, Tammy Burke of Inwood, WV, Jo Ann Cole of Martinsburg, WV; David (Patty) Caldwell of Falling Waters, WV, Teressa (Clifford) Lusk of Aiken & Tammy Trenary of Aiken; Step-Father, Paul Botz of Martinsburg, WV; special cousins, Heather & Herb Keith of Martinsburg, WV and their son Jordan Canby; and a host of other cousins and close friends.

Memorial services will take place later.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Derek was a loving son, father, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be greatly missed.
