We send our deepest sympathy to Jack’s family! It was my privilege to know Jack from when he was on the job and I was a young ADA and then we worked together when he was a private investigator. A great experience, a great friend and a great loss.

I have known Jack in what it seems like a life time. We went to Marine boot camp together in 1963 and he was like the grandfather of all the young guys including myself. He was the nicest guy anyone would want their boys to grow up and be like. A perfect roll model. I lost touch with him and then met his daughter who was retired from the NYPD and she had mentioned his name and after telling her that I was in the Marine Corps with a Jack Holder and showed her picture of her father she said that was him and we reconnected, as both friends and fellow Marines and NYPD cops.

To all, The world was a better place with Jack in it. He earned his wings and will fit nicely in Heaven. He was a renaissance man. He was bright and articulate. He was a dear friend. He served with me on the NPDF Board and always lead by example. His humor was infectious and remains with me. My prayers to the family and especially to his beloved Bonnie. Rest in peace my friend!

My wife and I will include Jack in our daily rosary. I've known Jack for many years, as a NYPD Detective and as my Private investigator. He was good at both, and even better as a friend and confidant. He was a sincere friend to Kerri, my wife, while I was incapacitated by events outside my control. He was a great family man, and while he loved them all, he especially loved to tell me about his Grandson: Tommy, in whom he was especially fond. God Bless Jack Holder. Semper Fidelis
